| Katie's family collected many books from their neighborhood. |
Camp began June 25. Always start with a good breakfast and that's what we did.
Book Buddy Camp has many brothers and sisters coming together. At the science center, campers painted with natural ingredients--blueberries and strawberries.
An important part of the day is start of the buddy project. Teams worked with mentors to sand the parts to the buddy kit. Kits were a cut out by the Nathan Hand, Eagle Scouts, Bud Wooten, and Scott Bradley. You can see in this photo our interns Stacey and Katie, helpers Jack, Elaine, Sara and many others. We have a huge team for this project.
| It was a great day with many "happy campters!" |
Children in the project come from many different backgrounds. We wanted our buddies to see our church and visit the sanctuary and the prayer room. Here, one of our ministers, Layne Rogerson talks about the importance of Bible study and prayer.
